Travelling ALONE…. On the poll 79 percent of yall said you would travel alone.
The first thing people ask was how was it, and why did I do it? Then comes the important question, should you??
Generally the answer is YES YOU SHOULD!! But its up to you to decide for yourself. Here are the 5 things that you need to think about before going on your solo adventures.
You need to be independent (Or you could just learn along the way)
– Take care of your own safety and also your health!!
– Solo travels means doing everything yourself, travelling, eating, accommodation, and visiting places by your own (learn how to adapt)
Planning is especially important
– You’ll need to make arrangements yourself, where to get tickets, rides, food etc
– Plan this before hand so you don’t stress yourself out during the trip
You’ll learn how to be alone with yourself and your own thoughts
– You’ll be with yourself A LOT
– I use the time alone to think, plan and also most important since you are travelling take in the sights and sound of the place that you are in without any distractions
It might be more pricey than group travels
– You will not be able to split travel or accommodation cost which sometimes could mean spending more on travels or accommodation
– I spent RM75 on one taxi ride alone up in Cameron…. If you had someone else to split then it would be more reasonable
– I would try hitch hiking next time but that’s for another adventure
Be prepared to mingle around with new people (but be careful)
– Be prepared to meet new people, talk to them get to know the coffee shop lady, the taxi driver, or maybe the other travelers who are sharing your accommodation
– But not everyone wants to be bothered so, READ THE SIGNS (People’s body language) don’t be an annoying prick.
That’s about it, these are the things you should really think about before going on your solo adventure!! And the advice is still really simple stay safe, mingle around and still most importantly HAVE FUN!!
